Job Summary
Radiology Technician role within Jefferson Health with nursing leadership responsibilities on a designated unit, coordinating patient flow, staff scheduling, and pediatric/adult patient care standards; requires BSN or equivalent within 3 years of hire, 3+ years RN experience in acute care (ER preferred), strong communication, cultural competence, care coordination, and knowledge of safe medication administration; shift includes nights, full-time; location in Langhorne or Hulmeville, PA (US).
Required Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 3 years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting - prior ER RN experience required
- Effective Communication- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Patient-and Family-Centered Practice- Knowledge of how to convey respect and collaborate with each patient
- Cultural Awareness- Knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds
- Care Coordination Knowledge of the medical, social, economic, and other services provided by other departments or facilities, and the ability to integrate these multidisciplinary treatments for optimal patient care
- Patient Safety Knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment, and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks
- Medication Administration and Prescription Knowledge of various medications used to treat patients
- Discharge Planning Knowledge of the patient's post-discharge needs and the ability to consider these needs in planning for discharge and arranging for follow-up care
- Assessment and Diagnosis Knowledge of various tools and techniques for patient assessment and nursing diagnosis or clinical judgement
- Health Information Documentation Knowledge of the relevance of health information and appropriate documentation methods
- Bachelor's Degree BSN or completion of BSN or appropriate advanced degree within 3 years of hire required
- BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse - PA - State of Pennsylvania
- Shift Hours: Full Time/Nights - 40 hours weekly
