Job Summary
The Radiology Technician is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images, following department protocols and ensuring adherence to radiation safety procedures. Key duties include performing diagnostic examinations, utilizing technical factors to achieve optimal results, preparing patients effectively, and demonstrating knowledge of age-related pathology. The position requires a graduate of an accredited Radiology program, a Massachusetts state license, and CPR certification, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of the AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Training Program
- Licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Radiography
- CPR certified and ability to maintain certification annually
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment performing diagnostic radiographic examinations
