Job Summary
Perform a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages, applying modality-specific principles to deliver reliable results and a great patient experience. Support daily patient flow and department workflow by coordinating throughput and maintaining consistent, punctual attendance for assigned shifts. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure a smooth exam experience while maintaining confidentiality and working independently with minimal supervision. Use strong positioning and technique to ensure diagnostic-quality images across X-ray, Mammography, CT, and MRI modalities based on your certification. This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds, along with adequate hearing and visual acuity. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification in the relevant modality
- Oregon license or recent graduate with a valid temporary Oregon permit prior to taking ARRT registry
- ARRT registry must be obtained within a reasonable time frame (not to exceed 1 year)
- AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider)
- Image Wisely pledge certificate (obtain within 30 days of hire; renew annually by January 30)
- Image Gently pledge certificate (obtain within 30 days of hire; renew annually by January 30)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
- Adequate hearing and visual acuity (including color vision)
- Fine motor skills and strong eye-hand coordination
- Ability to use safe body mechanics to assist patients with transfers and ambulation
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds (as required)
- Ability to use standard and isolation precautions due to potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or infectious diseases
- Ability to communicate effectively (reading, writing, speaking in person and by phone)
- Ability to periodically use a personal computer
- Valid driver's license
