Job Summary

Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and supervision of an ARRT Registered Technologist, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis. Transfer and position patients for examinations, select and operate equipment, and load film cassettes while maintaining sterile techniques and preventing cross-contamination. Assist physicians with contrast media administration, sterile procedures, and first aid as required. Maintain patient records, report equipment failures, and rotate within the department across various shifts. Adhere to radiation safety standards and the department's dress code while ensuring patient safety, privacy, and dignity.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an ARRT Accredited Program and within 6 months of graduation
  • Washington State Department of Health X-Ray Technician Registration License
  • Must be competent in all routine diagnostic procedures, including but not limited to: Routine, Fluoroscopic, OR, Trauma, Portable radiographs or fluoroscopy; limited specials such as Myelograms, Venograms, arthrograms, and IVP's
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
