Job Summary
Administers radiation in the production of high-quality radiographic images while adhering to ALARA principles. Operates radiologic equipment (Main/ER, portable, fluoroscopic) and image viewing systems; assists radiologist during fluoroscopy and other patient exams; prepares patient and exam room; administers oral, rectal, and IV contrast media and manages related adverse reactions. Explains procedures to patients, and processes patient/exam information in electronic systems. Requires AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education, ARRT licensure, Indiana X-ray Operator certification, and BLS certification; part-time shift with rotating schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program
- Current licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.)
- Current Indiana State Department of Health X-ray Operator Certificate
- Current BLS Certification
