Job Summary
Radiology Tech PRN performs fluoroscopic procedures across age groups in the outpatient surgery department, handling imaging patient care, file room, clerical duties, and physician assistance. Responsibilities include positioning patients for radiographs, shielding to protect from radiation, operating radiologic equipment to capture images, developing films, maintaining equipment and records, and assisting with fluoroscopic work. Requires knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and safety precautions, ability to communicate with patients and staff, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with the potential for overtime. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a current certified Radiologic Technologist license; minimum two years of radiologic-experience under a radiologist.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the State Department of Health Services
- Minimum Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist
