Radiology Tech - Per Diem - Varied Shift - Radiology RMC

Provides clinical radiology services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to radiography students and other technologists to ensure optimal patient care and efficient departmental operations. Demonstrates radiation protection and safety for patients and staff, understands radiologic principles, anatomy, positioning, and technique for optimal imaging, and ensures patient safety with guard rails, shielding, and monitoring. Maintains ALARA exposure limits, correctly sends images to PACS, and assists physicians in performing studies using appropriate radiation protection and infection control procedures. Completes ancillary tasks to support efficient departmental operations, accurately enters data to assist radiologists in interpretation, and verifies patient and file accuracy. May readies, installs, removes, and downloads holter monitors and perform EKGs as needed (Hamilton location). On-call, holiday, and weekend work possible.
