Job Summary
Conduct daily bone density procedures including dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and quantitative ultrasonography within the Osteoporosis Center. Perform radiation procedures while maintaining strict safety standards and demonstrate advanced skills in diagnostic imaging. Assist in clinical instruction of personnel and participate in research protocols with the principal investigator and research coordinators. Requires 4 years as a Diagnostic Technologist, ARRT certification, and Vermont state licensure. This part-time role offers 10 hours per week with flexible workdays at FAHC.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years as a Diagnostic Technologist
- Committed hours to FAHC
- Functions at an advanced level within the Osteoporosis Center
- Thorough knowledge of radiation procedures and safety
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCERT
- ARRT certified
- Licensed with the State of Vermont
- Eligible to become certified and maintain certification by the ISCD
Desired Qualifications
- 4 years experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred
- Successfully complete all Radiology competencies using physics of radiation as a background
