Job Summary
Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and vascular interventions while operating imaging equipment like fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, obtaining consent, and ensuring safety and comfort. Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout and after procedures, maintaining accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and imaging data. Ensure sterile technique and proper handling of equipment and supplies while adhering to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
- Current state license (as required)
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiology equipment and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and compassionate care
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R); additional certification in Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional (CI) preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or related specialty (preferred)
