Job Summary
Radiology Technologist (CT/X-ray) working PRN Nights at a small-format hospital. Perform imaging procedures including CT and X-Rays, operate and maintain imaging department equipment, ensure results are communicated to the physician on duty, perform basic clinical procedures under physician/nurse direction, maintain documentation and comply with policies and regulatory standards, conduct quality control and proficiency testing, and travel to facility locations as required. Requires HS diploma or GED, AMA-approved radiology training, radiologic technologist certification, ARRT registration in radiography (CT preferred), BLS, and relevant radiology/imaging experience. PRN night schedule (7p-7a) at Rockwall, TX facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
- Associate’s degree in Radiology, preferred
- Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state in which practicing
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography required
- ARRT in computed tomography, preferred
- CT certification required (Las Vegas Market) OR CT certification required within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market)
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience, preferred
- 1+ years of CT experience, preferred
- 1+ years of emergency room experience, preferred
- Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS
- Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication
