Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for providing radiological care to patients of all ages for diagnosis and/or treatment of disorders using ionizing radiation. Key responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, equipment, and medications, operating X-ray equipment, and ensuring patient education. The role requires competency in conventional radiography and knowledge in at least one additional area such as CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology. The technologist may also be required to take call.
Required Qualifications
- Proven competency in conventional radiography
- Working knowledge in at least one other area CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology
- Ability to operate all X-ray equipment and PACS
- Working knowledge of conventional Radiology
