Job Summary
Assist the physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease by functioning as a scrub assistant, monitor, and circulator. Admit and orient patients, accurately enter data into hemodynamic and x-ray systems, and explain procedures including contrast media use. Establish sterile fields, maintain infection control guidelines, and operate EKG, x-ray, and hemodynamic equipment to monitor vital signs and intervene to physiological changes. Operate diagnostic and therapeutic equipment such as defibrillators, stents, and rotoblasters while observing radiation safety regulations. Maintain certifications like RCIS or ARRT and complete mandatory education. Full-time day shift with on-call every fifth week; up to $25,000 bonus for experienced techs.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within six (6) months from date of hire into classification.
- Currently registered as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and/or American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience preferred.
