Radiology Tech Assistant

Radiology Tech Assistant performs a variety of duties to support daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Division, including transporting patients to imaging modalities, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining room readiness and stock, and assisting Imaging Technologists to ensure high-quality imaging services. The role involves maintaining imaging rooms and supplies, following safety protocols for MRI, CT, X-ray, and Nuclear Medicine, handling inventory, and assisting with basic record-keeping and coordination with vendors. Training in the MRI Department and adherence to Brown University Health values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) are included, with responsibilities spanning patient safety, equipment readiness, and collaboration with nursing and radiology staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include a high school diploma/equivalency, effective English communication, and BLS/IV Certification within 6 months; prior Tech Assistant training or healthcare track program is preferred.
