Job Summary
Confirm physician orders are complete and obtain missing information prior to treatment. Provide patient-centered care and communicate findings or changes to RNs or technologists. Perform registrations, maintain accurate database information, and ensure patient safety during movement and transportation. Monitor supply levels, maintain work area cleanliness, and prioritize assignments while utilizing effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Less than 1 year in a customer service role
- Ability to display a compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to follow direction and provide accurate reports
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Ability to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
