Job Summary
Assist technologists with daily imaging workflows by verifying patient identification, transporting patients between units, and escorting them to and from the radiology department. Print reports, create CDs, and electronically share images as requested while receiving, importing, and logging outside images into PACS and Epic. Maintain tracking mechanisms for incoming and outgoing imaging records and utilize e-sharing image solutions to expedite transfers. Requires BLS certification and EPIC/PACS experience; scheduled weekly hours of 0.01 in days/afternoons. Part of Mercy Health's Cath Lab team at Anderson Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Verifies patient identification using two patient identifiers
- Transports patients from other units and departments to the radiology department
- Prints reports, makes CD's, and electronically share images as requested
- Receives, imports, and logs outside images into PACS and Epic
- Utilizes e-sharing image solution to expedite image transfers
- Maintains appropriate tracking mechanisms for incoming and outgoing imaging records
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
- Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience
- Healthcare experience
- Demonstrates problem solving, active listening, time management, organization and adaptability skills
- Possesses ability to provide a strong customer service via email communication and phone etiquette in a high stress environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite and radiology imaging anatomy
