Job Summary
Assist radiologic technologists in preparing patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly; operate basic radiology equipment under supervision to capture preliminary images as part of the learning process; maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment to comply with health and safety regulations; document patient information and imaging details accurately in accordance with departmental protocols; observe and adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure. The role provides hands-on clinical experience in radiologic technology under supervision in a healthcare setting and supports the learning of aspiring radiologic technologists by contributing to accurate diagnostic imaging and patient-focused care.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Must be a senior.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision in a clinical environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Compliance with health and safety standards, including infection control procedures.
