Job Summary
Prepare for and assist the Radiologist in completing radiographic examinations while maintaining high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques. Administer contrast media under supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist and serve as the primary liaison between patients and the support team. Perform patient assessment, monitoring, and care with professional judgment, ensuring radiation safety and addressing physical and emotional needs through effective communication. Complete required clinical competencies and maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Required Qualifications
- Student in an accredited program in Radiology Technology either hospital based or college degree program
- Completion of one year of clinical experience in Radiology Department
- 50% or better completion of required clinical/procedural competencies
- Technical expertise up to level of competency
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Knowledge of physiology
- Knowledge of radiation protection
- Communication skills
- Patient care
- Computer skills
- BLS
