Job Summary
Conduct outbound and inbound telephone calls to obtain patient information, verify insurance, and schedule radiology procedures efficiently. Maintain medical records, file documents, and manage fax servers while tracking appointments through scheduling systems. Perform follow-up services including obtaining lab results and coordinating specialist appointments to ensure continuity of care. Complete referral documentation and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements in a fast-paced call center environment. Work a 40-hour week with rotating Saturdays to support Optum's vision of improving healthcare delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare related experience
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week with rotating Saturdays
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
