Job Summary
Conduct image-guided breast biopsy procedures, including stereotactic techniques, while interpreting diagnostic imaging studies such as mammograms. Provide thorough consultations with patients to explain procedures and address concerns, then monitor post-procedure care and manage complications. Collaborate with referring physicians to plan and execute interventional procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes through accurate documentation and participation in quality assurance initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of interventional radiology advancements through ongoing education and training programs. Work closely with radiologists, oncologists, and surgeons to deliver comprehensive patient care. Valid medical license in New Jersey required; board certification in Radiology and fellowship in Breast Imaging is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in New Jersey
- Proficiency in performing breast biopsy procedures
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification in Radiology and fellowship training in Breast Imaging/Mammograms is a plus
- Familiarity with Breast Biopsies and Stereotactic Procedures
