Job Summary
Perform diagnostic mammography and x-ray examinations following department protocol and ACR guidelines, ensuring all images meet quality standards while strictly adhering to ALARA radiation safety procedures. Produce radiographic and mammographic copies on film or CD, utilizing appropriate shielding to minimize patient exposure. Execute daily, weekly, and monthly quality control and assurance testing on mammography units, including viewbox cleaning, phantom testing, and compression tests. Rotate shifts based on department and patient care needs, while assisting with clerical duties such as patient data input, scheduling, and maintaining the mammography tracking system. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all safety policies and JCAHO standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of the AMA Approved Radiologic Technology training Program
- ARRT and State of Massachusetts registered in good standing, both in Radiography and Mammography
- Certification and clinical experience in Mammography
- CPR Certified and ability to maintain on an annual basis
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment performing diagnostic radiographic examination, including 1 year performing Mammography
- Good working knowledge in the field of Radiology/Mammography
- Ability to assimilate changes in technical Radiographic settings
- Ability to prioritize assignments

- Must complete a background check before beginning employment
