Job Summary
Radiology Mammography Physician needed at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (Tacoma, WA). Responsibilities include performing and interpreting a full range of diagnostic imaging studies, supervising imaging modalities (CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography, angiography, interventional techniques), providing radiologic consultation, participating in multidisciplinary boards, teaching residents and medical students, and leading research initiatives. Requires completion of accredited Radiology-Diagnostic residency (4 years), possession of a medical degree (MD or DO) from an approved school, active medical license, and board eligibility/certification in Radiology-Diagnostic. The role demands clinical oversight and emergency care in radiologic procedures, plus staff supervision and performance evaluation duties.
Required Qualifications
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license/registration in a U.S. state/territory
- Successful completion of accredited residency in Radiology-Diagnostic (4 years)
- Board eligibility or certification in Radiology-Diagnostic
- Evidence of medical education equivalence for foreign medical graduates (ECFMG/other pathways) for non-US-trained physicians
- US Citizens eligibility to apply
- Experience in teaching and supervising residents and medical students
- Experience/ability to provide clinical oversight and emergency care in radiologic procedures
- Ability to participate in multidisciplinary boards and quality assurance activities
- Ability to obtain a federal employment background clearance (as this is a DoD appointment)
