Radiology Front Desk Scheduler

Job Summary
Obtain accurate patient information, verify insurance, and schedule radiology procedures efficiently. Check patients in and out, file and maintain medical records, and manage work queues for referrals and appointments. Answer incoming and outgoing calls promptly while performing follow-up services such as scheduling specialist visits and obtaining lab results. Monitor fax servers, scan documents, and assign them to electronic charts. Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and Sparq policies while working a 40-hour week with rotating Saturdays. Cross-train in other locations as needed and participate in quarterly departmental trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
- Ability to work 40 hours week between the hours of 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and rotating Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
