Job Summary
Radiology (CT) Technologist, PRN role performing radiologic procedures under ARRT standards, producing diagnostic CT/X-ray images, and maintaining radiation safety per ALARA guidelines. Responsibilities include patient screening and preparation, providing high-quality diagnostic images with proper exposure techniques, ensuring equipment safety and regulatory compliance, maintaining patient X-Ray files, coordinating with providers and training new associates, and performing related tasks such as venipuncture, lab operations, vital signs, and EKG when delegated. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, MRT license with ARRT registry, and ability to work with patients and health-system teams; some minimal travel may be required between sites.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current licenses by the Texas Medical Board (MRT license) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry
- Two years’ experience in Computed Tomography, X-ray, PACS operation, and teleradiography is preferred (not required)
- Ability to work independently in CT/X-ray and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
- Willingness to travel between sites may be required
