Job Summary
Operate radiographic and CAT SCAN equipment to produce radiographs and CT scans for diagnostic purposes. Position patients and the examining table to obtain optimal views as directed by physicians and radiologists. Apply ALARA principles and radiation-safety measures, administer and consent for IV and oral contrast, and maintain proper documentation in patient charts. Perform additional patient-care duties including starting IVs, drawing blood, operating lab testing equipment, and assisting with bed changes, room cleaning, and stocking linens. Ensure patient safety and diagnostic quality throughout exams.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology
- At least 2 years of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience
- Current State Licensure (Required)
- Current BCLS Certification (Required)
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Preferred)
