Job Summary
Conduct CT and X-ray procedures in compliance with ARRT standards, ensuring patient safety through ALARA protocols and minimizing radiation exposure. Screen patients for exam precautions, explain procedures, and adjust equipment for optimal diagnostic imaging while maintaining low repeat rates. Manage equipment maintenance, report malfunctions, and ensure all files remain confidential and secure. Provide timely documentation, maintain room cleanliness, and assist with protocol updates and staff training. Perform delegated tasks including venipuncture and vital signs when trained. Work nights in Waco, TX, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and shift differentials. Requires MRT license, ARRT registry, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT license)
- ARRT registry
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work extended hours
- Ability to work with and around potentially hazardous materials and diseases
- Thorough knowledge of radiologic procedures used in patients' treatment
- Thorough knowledge of safety and proper usage of all mechanical and electrical equipment used in radiology
- Knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and physics as applied to diagnostic imaging of the human body
- Ability to work independently in CT/X-ray
- Ability to communicate well with patients, guests, staff members, and physicians
- Ability to hear and speak
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, bend, or twist at the waist
- Ability to lift and move more than 10 pounds
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25lbs

Desired Qualifications
- Two years' experience in Computed Tomography, X-ray, PACS operation, and teleradiography
