Job Summary
Interventional Radiologist position at VA Long Beach Healthcare System offering a balanced 50% Interventional Radiology and 50% General Diagnostic Radiology practice across inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing a broad range of image-guided interventions (e.g., Y-90 radioembolization, prostate artery embolization, endovascular management of peripheral arterial disease), participating in weekly multidisciplinary conferences (vascular, genitourinary tumor, liver/GI tumor boards), and collaborating with oncology, surgery, and vascular medicine teams. The facility supports a teaching environment with an affiliation to UC Irvine, a team of 18 radiologists (including 4 Interventional Radiologists), and a modern, fully equipped capacity. The role includes a compressed tour of duty, 1:4 weeks call coverage, and access to a comprehensive benefits package (education debt reduction via EDRP, CME, liability protection, health/dental/vision, HSAs, pensions, TSP with VA matching up to 5%). Eligibility for recruitment/relocation incentives is approved. Total rewards package and salary range: starting annual $375,000–$400,000, with potential performance-based pay up to $15,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- M.D. or D.O. (LCME-accredited or AACOCOA-accredited)
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US state/territory/DC
- Completed Residency Training
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Foreign medical graduates verified by ECFMG
- Recent or upcoming new grads welcomed
