Job Summary
Interventional Radiologist position at VA Long Beach Healthcare System with a 50% Interventional Radiology and 50% General Diagnostic Radiology split. Perform image-guided interventions including Y-90 radioembolization, prostate artery embolization, and other endovascular procedures, with inpatient and outpatient coverage. Participate in multidisciplinary boards (vascular, GU tumor, liver/GI tumor) and collaborate with oncology, surgery, and vascular medicine. Engage in a teaching-friendly environment with UC Irvine affiliation offering resident teaching opportunities. Requirements include MD or DO, current license, and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology; 0+ new grads welcomed. Compensation includes starting salary $375,000–$400,000 with potential performance-based pay, plus recruitment/relocation incentive, substantial benefits, and education loan repayment options (EDRP). Work schedule features a compressed tour of duty and 1:4 weeks call; 18 radiologists (4 IR, 6 IR technologists, 7 IR RNs) in a modern facility delivering broad image-guided interventions and diagnostics.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Completed Residency Training
- U.S. Citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.
