Job Summary
Radiologist for the Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care Network. Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating call (approximately every 6 weeks). Responsibilities include interpreting Diagnostic Imaging across modalities (MRI, CT, ultrasound, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine), defining modality-specific protocols, consulting with ordering providers, reviewing orders and imaging protocols, assisting in fee-basis consult review, performing non-IR invasive procedures, and resident supervision/education. Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States or District of Columbia
- Living and working in Southeast Louisiana (Louisiana) as noted in posting
- Experience with body imaging and nuclear medicine preferred
