Job Summary
Radiology Technologist responsible for independently acquiring radiology exams and operating radiological equipment in ambulatory or acute care settings under Radiologist direction. Duties include patient positioning, CR/DR operation, fluoroscopy, image processing, quality control, PACS/RIS usage, exam scheduling, patient education on prep instructions, obtaining orders and paperwork, documenting in patient charts, coordinating with medical staff, and providing learning environment for imaging students. Maintains infection-control practices, radiation safety, and may participate in on-call duties. Must ensure accurate documentation, proper contrast administration with aseptic technique, and professional interaction with patients across pediatric, geriatric, febrile, and acute care populations; supports clinical workflow and department operations in collaboration with the imaging team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Radiology Program Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ARRT
- Within 60 days of hire: Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as directed
