Job Summary
Perform and acquire proper radiology exams under Radiologist direction, operating equipment in ambulatory or acute care settings for pediatric, geriatric, and acute patients. Adjust technique and positions for optimal imaging while educating patients on prep instructions and obtaining correct orders. Transport patients, enter exams into the Radiology Information System, schedule radiology exams, and communicate with Medical Staff. Report equipment malfunctions to Supervisors or Maintenance staff and adhere to infection-control policies and radiation protection protocols. Maintain knowledge of PACS, assist physicians in procedures, and provide a learning environment for students. Work assigned schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Radiology Program Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as directed by the department leader
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
