Job Summary

Conduct radiologic procedures and examinations using modalities including conventional x-ray, CR, DR, fluoroscopy, bone density, and urodynamics under the direction of radiologists. Evaluate radiographs for technical quality and exercise professional judgment to ensure clear images at the lowest radiation dosage. Perform, assist, and manage clinical laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen processing, storage, handling, and transport. Provide patient care essential to radiographic procedures and recognize conditions requiring immediate action. Maintain knowledge of radiation protection standards and operate radiologic equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Requires current ARRT licensure, pediatric phlebotomy experience, and CPR training.

Required Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with patients/families, staff and physicians
  • Analytical skills necessary to determine best method of providing requested radiographs based on the individual case and basic technical principles
  • Knowledge and experience performing pediatric phlebotomy
  • CPR Training
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time wearing a lead apron
  • Ability to lift or turn disabled patients
