Job Summary
Evaluate the Radiation Protection Program through audits and provide critical input into program design, modification, and implementation. Review procedures to ensure ALARA methodology is incorporated, approve radiation work permits, certify waste shipping manifests, and administer safety training. Interact with management and regulators on program implementation while conducting planning meetings to discuss dose estimates and shielding needs. Perform analysis on modeling software output and serve as a liaison between company management and customer Radiation Protection representatives. Lead the group by providing training and direction to less experienced professionals. This role supports Framatome's mission to deliver outage services and advanced nuclear fuel technologies across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics or a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Expert knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulatory requirements applicable to nuclear facilities and operations
- Ability to assist in the delivery and oversight of Radiation Protection Program training to ensure personnel are properly informed and compliant
- Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Offers are contingent on background check and drug screen (where applicable)

Desired Qualifications
- An NRRPT Certification is preferred
