Job Summary

The Radiologic Technology Program Director oversees the Radiologic Technology program, focusing on improving student experience and success through retention strategies, student management, and externship coordination. Key responsibilities include faculty management, ensuring academic quality, conducting assessments, developing improvement plans, coordinating faculty training, and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards. A Master's degree or bachelor's with ongoing Master's enrollment, three years of diagnostic radiologic technology experience, and relevant certifications are mandatory. Additional preferred qualifications include teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited program and advanced certifications in radiologic specialties.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or completion of a Bachelor’s degree with current enrollment in a Master’s degree program
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in diagnostic radiologic technology
  • Certification/Licensure as a radiology supervisor and operator or in equivalent specialties
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in radiography
  • Venipuncture certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Two years of teaching experience along with two years’ management/supervisory experience in Radiologic Technology or related healthcare setting

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
  • Proficiency in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising
  • Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, or equivalent, in additional modalities beyond radiography

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet or exceed all standards in Minimum Qualifications report.
  • Degrees from non-U.S. institutions recognized only if equivalence has been established.
