Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

Job Summary
Take patient histories and vital signs, prepare patients for radiologic procedures, and perform X-rays following established safety protocols. Produce quality radiographs, minimize repeat studies, and apply splints and dressings while maintaining supplies and equipment. Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, perform phlebotomy, and manage laboratory paperwork. Handle telephone inquiries from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, collect payments and co-pays, and prepare examination rooms. Complete clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and filing forms. Work a per diem schedule in the Urgent Care department at Middlesex Health, where you will support patient-first care and utilize advanced medical knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiography program
- Eligible for ARRT certification
- State of Connecticut Radiographers license
- Demonstrated competency in all diagnostic radiographic procedures
- Demonstrated teamwork skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated guest relations skills
