Job Summary
Performs imaging procedures for patients in Urgent Care environment to ensure high-quality patient care. May also perform tasks of Medical Assistant as needed. Provides patient care during imaging, operates radiography equipment, rooms patients, records vitals, reconciles medications, and documents in EMR. Collaborates with team to maintain quality imaging and patient services, with strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient communication.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program
- ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing
- State of Connecticut License/Eligible
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously required
- Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated competency in imaging modalities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to interact positively with all levels of health care workers and guests required
- Flexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient care
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
