Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist in Urgent Care performs imaging procedures for patients in an urgent care setting, operates imaging equipment, and provides patient care support. The role may also function as a Medical Assistant to room patients, obtain vitals, reconcile medications, interview patients to identify chief complaints, and document in the EMR. Requires proficiency with imaging modalities, adherence to health-system policies, and collaboration with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes professional judgment, teamwork, privacy and confidentiality, professional appearance, and continuous learning. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program
- ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing
- State of Connecticut License/Eligible
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously required
- Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc) required
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated competency in imaging modalities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to interact positively with all levels of health care workers and guests required
- Flexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient care
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
