Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

Job Summary
Take patient histories and vital signs, prepare patients for radiologic procedures, and perform X-rays following established safety protocols. Produce quality radiographs, minimize repeat studies, and apply splints and dressings while maintaining supplies and equipment. Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries, perform phlebotomy and laboratory paperwork, and handle telephone calls from clients, physicians, and pharmacies. Collect payments, co-pays, and medicine charges, and prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments. Perform various clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, and filing patient charts. Work per diem in the Urgent Care Old Saybrook department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiography program
- Eligible for ARRT certification
- State of Connecticut Radiographers license
- Demonstrated competency in all diagnostic radiographic procedures
- Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and guest relations skills
