Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist works in Urgent Care performing imaging procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. May also perform tasks of a Medical Assistant as needed. Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures, operates imaging equipment, ensures proper documentation in the EMR, rooms patients and obtains vitals, reconciles medications, and interviews patients to identify chief complaints. Demonstrates professional judgment, collaborates with the health system, adheres to core values, and supports ongoing education and teamwork to deliver efficient patient care in a per diem Urgent Care setting in Old Saybrook, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program
- ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing
- State of Connecticut License/Eligible
- Good judgment and problem solving skills with the ability to function independently and make decisions
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously required
- Preferred Qualifications: Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB etc)
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated competency in imaging modalities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to interact positively with all levels of health care workers and guests required
- Flexibility and teamwork to ensure positive patient care
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
