Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

Job Summary
Take patient histories and vital signs, prepare patients for radiologic procedures, and perform X-Rays following established safety protocols. Produce quality radiographs, minimize repeat studies, apply splints and dressings, and maintain supplies and equipment including sterilization. Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals, perform phlebotomy and laboratory paperwork, and handle telephone calls from clients, patients, and staff. Collect payments, insurance co-pays, and medicine charges while preparing examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. Perform various clerical duties such as photocopying forms, reports, and patient information, as well as filing charts. Work per diem in the Urgent Care Old Saybrook department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited radiography program
- Eligible for ARRT certification
- State of Connecticut Radiographers license
- Demonstrated competency in all diagnostic radiographic procedures
- Demonstrated teamwork skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated guest relations skills
