Job Summary
Performs a variety of technical radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients' illnesses and injuries. Responsibilities include patient positioning for correct anatomical exposure, obtaining informed consent/contrast questionnaire as appropriate, operating imaging equipment, ensuring image quality and proper patient identification, and maintaining equipment and radiology workflow within PACs/RIS systems. Maintains ALARA principles, precautions for contrast administration, and collaborates with Radiologists and healthcare team to deliver safe, accurate diagnostic imaging across multiple sites. Requires RTR licensure and ARRT radiology certification within 12 months, plus BLS; covers a range of shift patterns including full-time, part-time, and per diem.
Required Qualifications
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth Massachusetts (temporary MA license acceptable)
- ARRT certification in Radiology within 12 months from date of hire
- BLS certification
