Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic exams by positioning patients, setting exposure factors, and operating imaging equipment to ensure accurate images with minimal repeat rates. Send processed images to PACS, gather complete documentation, verify patient identities, and label images with required demographic data. Assist with patient transport, maintain radiation safety and universal precautions, and communicate exam details to patients and families. Handle stressful situations to promote positive outcomes while adhering to hospital policies and professional conduct standards. Maintain current education through assigned journals and seminars.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a certified Radiologic Technology school or program or registry eligible
- Current applicable state license in Radiologic Technology required
- In Oregon, Radiology Technology, Temporary
- In Washington, X-Ray Technician Registration
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
