Job Summary

Competently perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring while exercising sound judgment to deliver accurate results. Execute safe, precise procedures through effective patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and clear communication to gain cooperation from patients and support groups. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding privacy and safety while prioritizing assignments within standardized operating procedures. Work independently in a team environment to identify and resolve standard problems, ensuring the privacy of protected health information. Operate diagnostic equipment with general knowledge of radiographic principles, anatomy, and pathology, utilizing computer applications such as RIS, LIS, EHR, and PACS.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • CRT/DRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
  • Capable of performing routine radiographic examinations
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS))
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to be part of the team
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
  • Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI)
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
  • Saturday availability
  • Full Time Shift Hours: 8 Days of the Week: Friday, Thursday, Wednesday Weekend
