Radiologic Technologist - Surgery

Job Summary
Conduct imaging of patients undergoing surgical procedures by safely manipulating radiographic equipment, positioning patients, and selecting technical factors for optimum quality radiographs. Track patient studies and manage PAS acquisition for performed studies while working directly with the surgical team and physicians. Perform any other delegated tasks related to the proper function of the Diagnostic Radiology department. Maintain current A.R.R.T. and LSRT licenses with two years of experience in outpatient surgical facilities or inpatient hospitals. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in a fast-paced environment at St. Tammany Health System in Covington.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program
- Current A.R.R.T. license
- LSRT license
- 2 years experience of working in an outpatient surgical facility or inpatient hospital
- Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross
- ILCOR course must include a manikin check off
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages
- Must possess strong guest relations skills
- Must possess good physical health
- Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
- Lifting at least 50 pounds
- Able to work with a moderate level of noise
