Job Summary
Perform radiologic examinations and associated tasks for pediatric patients, including phlebotomy and simple lab tests. Prepare patient rooms, set up equipment, and maintain documentation while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Obtain and evaluate data, determine appropriate imaging factors, process and prepare radiographs for radiologist interpretation, and contribute to patient flow under RN direction. Provide developmentally appropriate care for infants through adolescents and educate patients and families as needed. Maintain infection control and department standards, and collaborate with physicians and RNs to support quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or certificate from an AMA approved school in Radiologic Technology (Required)
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire Required)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist from the State of Nebraska (or IA if incumbent works in IA) (Upon Hire Required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association (Upon Hire Required)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and peers
- Completion of formal orientation
- Ability to delegate and direct tasks as needed
