Job Summary
Performs standard x-ray examinations using CR/DR systems, ensuring safety standards and proper technique. Efficiently positions patients and equipment to obtain diagnostic images, follows shielding protocols, and prepares patients by taking vital signs and histories. Conducts blood draws and administers injections and vaccines, assists with procedures, and prepares exam/treatment rooms with supplies and equipment. Determines appropriate radiation exposure per exam, uses CR/DR systems, and reviews images for density, contrast, and quality before sending and storing images. Helps support providers during procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
