Job Summary
Perform radiologic procedures at the North Pavilion location under the direction of a Radiologist and Imaging Manager, utilizing independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Execute a variety of technical procedures requiring ingenuity and initiative, assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor. This role supports the expansion of UAB Hospital's Emergency Department, Alabama's first ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center, which is adding 115+ treatment spaces and a 30-bed observation unit. New equipment includes CT scanners, X-ray machines, and echo ultrasound. Start date may vary between now and August 2026 due to construction timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered within one (1) year from date of hire for a new graduate
- If certification is not obtained within one year, an additional period of up to one hundred and eighty (180) days may be allowed
