Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist PRN responsible for moving and positioning radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely, performing imaging with high-quality results, and ensuring patient comfort and privacy. Maintains infection control, inventory, and routine equipment safety checks; adheres to ALARA radiation safety concepts. Documents accurately in EMR/PACS, cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed, and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Requires knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures, ability to operate imaging software, and clinical competencies to support a fast-paced hospital environment. Licensure as RT(R) and CPR/BLS certification are required, with 1+ year radiology experience preferred and ongoing continuing education commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR [Required]
- CPR/AHA BLS certification [Required]
- 1+ year radiology experience preferred
- Ability to operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required]
- Knowledge of Radiologic Procedures/Positions [Required]
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff [Required]
- Maintains radiology software proficiency (Cerner, RadNet, PACS, etc.) [Required]
- Licensure and continuing education requirements for diagnostic imaging [Required]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Associate degree preferred [Preferred]
- Bachelor's degree preferred [Preferred]
