Job Summary
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Radiologic Technologist performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions essential for proper radiologic diagnosis. Key responsibilities include confirming patient identities, explaining preparation for examinations, operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, maintaining patient safety, and managing radiologic procedures. The role requires a minimum of six months of experience, and the technologist must possess MA state licensure in Radiography Technology. Employees must maintain CEU activity and be ready to work varied shifts, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved two-year program
- RT- Radiography Technology (MA state license) or RT Temp - Radiography Technology Temporary (MA state license)
- Six (6) months of work experience to be fully proficient
- Produce CEU records to manager prior to start date and on an ongoing basis thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Radiography Technology (MA) - Radiation Control Program (Massachusetts)
- Radiography Technology Temporary License (MA) - Radiation Control Program (Massachusetts)
