Radiologic Technologist / Part-Time Outpatient

Job Summary
Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, perform portable and fluoroscopic exams, and guide lower-level technologists and students. Position patients, adjust equipment for high-quality images, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety while ensuring proper preparation. Minimize radiation exposure using protective devices and shielding, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Complete patient care documentation in the Radiology Information System and participate in quality assurance and safety committee activities. Clean equipment and stock procedure rooms while maintaining safety requirements. This part-time role at Emory Clinic Spivey Station includes a 7 AM to 3:30 PM shift covering 32 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to carry objects up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk occasionally to frequently
- Must be able to sit occasionally
- Must be able to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Must be able to work in an environment with blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Must be able to work in an environment with bio-hazardous waste
- Must be able to work in an environment with chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Must be able to work in an environment with communicable diseases
- Must be able to work in an environment with electrical shock risk
- Must be able to work in an environment with floor surfaces hazards
- Must be able to work in an environment with hot/cold temperatures
- Must be able to work in an environment with indoor/outdoor conditions
- Must be able to work in an environment with latex exposure
- Must be able to work in an environment with lighting variations
- Must be able to work in an environment with patient care/handling injuries
- Must be able to work in an environment with radiation exposure
- Must be able to work in an environment with shift work
- Must be able to travel if required
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment, including respirators
