Radiologic Technologist - Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

Perform diagnostic general radiological procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with department protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Administer IV and oral/rectal contrast while screening for pregnancy and responding to adverse reactions. Review radiology orders for completeness, verify patient history and clinical data for medical necessity, and critique positioning and technical factors to demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards. Transfer and verify image data in PACS, utilizing web servers and email systems to send exams for preliminary readings after hours. Maintain imaging equipment, workplace environment, and supply inventories while ensuring patient, visitor, and environmental safety. Assist in student instruction, perform duties of Rad Tech Lead or Imaging Coordinator in absence, and support other areas during downtimes to maintain productivity.
